Troy Bond was born in 1963, and educated at Trinity
University, Texas, and Northern Iowa in English Literature. Troy is a
native Iowan, but spent years working on both coasts and traveling
extensively overseas. He also taught English as a Foreign Language at
Godmer House in Oxford, England. His writing career began as a script
reader and researcher for film producer Douglas Wick (Working Girl,
Gladiator), and continued as he wrote spec scripts and pilots for
television. His one-act play “Shades of Grey” was a finalist at the
Seattle Director’s Festival.
Troy lives with
his wife and two children in West Des Moines where he contributes
regularly to his blog, Pizza By Fire about the art of making wood-fired
pizza in a hand-made earth oven.
